1928 Amsterdam Summer Winner's Medal, 1928 Amsterdam Summer Prize Medals

For 1928 the International Olympic Committee held a competition to decide the design of the medals. This design will be used for summer games from 1928-1968 with only minor changes for the name of the Olympics on the front.

Obverse (front): Nike holds a victory crown and palm frond in front of a Classical facade.

Reverse: A winning athlete is carried by a crowd in celebration.
